Description: Ce recensement a pour but d'identifier les ensembles d'immeubles maintenus du XIXe siècle et du début du XXe siècle, selon la loi sur les constructions et installations diverses (LCI, L 5 05 du 14 avril 1988, articles 89 à 93), hors des secteurs bénéficiant d'un plan de site et hors des zones protégées de la Vieille-Ville et du secteur sud des anciennes fortifications. L'examen révise et complète les listes indicatives des ensembles publiées en 1983, 1985 et 1989. Au terme de l'étude, 2198 immeubles ont été inventoriés, dont 1955 formant des ensembles au sens de la loi (LCI, L 5 05, art. 89-93) ; 237 n'en font pas partie et 6 ont été démolis. Ne sont publiés ici que les seuls bâtiments répertoriés dans la liste indicative élargie des ensembles construits entre 1800 et 1933, soit 244 ensembles.
