Description: Les points de rencontre d'urgence (PRU) sont des lieux d'accueil prédéterminés pour la population en cas de catastrophe ou de situation d'urgence, lui permettant de recevoir des informations officielles et un accès aux services d'urgence, en particulier lorsque le réseau téléphonique et l'accès à Internet ne sont plus disponibles. Chaque commune du canton dispose d'un ou de plusieurs PRU. Ils sont généralement situés dans des bâtiments publics facilement accessibles, comme des écoles ou des salles polyvalentes et sont facilement repérables: en cas d'incident, un drapeau est placé devant le site et des indicateurs de direction sont installés aux alentours. Une carte répertoriant les PRU est disponible sur le site de l'État de Genève.
